Are you a data analyst who likes to sleep and struggles with your weight? If so, there’s bad news – you’re boring.

A joint study by the University of Essex, the London School of Economics and the University of Limerick asked 721 participants from the UK and US to give brief descriptions of stereotypically boring people.

The researchers found that those with negative outlooks, low conversational skills, and narrow opinions were the most likely to be considered boring.

Data analytics was seen as the industry with the most yawn-inducing employees, followed by accounting.

Physically, boring people were mostly considered “ordinary, fat or old”.
