Acquisition of a media and data company in the display sector

Infographic marketing and management consultancy Jon Peddie Research (JPR) to acquire UK-based Display Daily, a data, analytics, news and information media outlet for display and component companies through Europe. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Founded by Bob Raikes (pictured) in 1994, Display Daily is part of specialist market research consultancy Meko, which combines technical understanding and products for the high-tech marketing industry. For more than a quarter of a century, Raikes has reported on and analyzed the electronic display industry. In addition to appearing on television and radio, he writes industry articles and publishes the Display Daily website and the Display Insider daily news service.

According to JPR, the deal will leave it “in a unique position” to identify key trends that will shape the market for each display device, providing insight into what people can do with computers, mobile devices and more – segmented by quality of user experience, device popularity and sales. Raikes adds, “I’m delighted that Display Daily is joining JPR’s impressive stable of professional titles and content that can only bring more value to its readers and customers.”
